I contacted Ilene Fingeret on a friend’s recommendation after finally convincing my husband of the need to update our wills. Because of his dual nationality my husband had been reluctant to try to formalize our property and finances, thinking it was too complicated. I was amazed at how smoothly Ilene got us to organize our affairs – and how painlessly she guided us through the process . She raised – then quickly handled – issues such as medical and financial power of attorney before we had even considered the necessity. She was readily available through email or phone to answer any questions or to clarify points with us. She knew I was concerned about taking an upcoming trip without a current will , and she worked steadily to complete things in a timely manner. It was a very positive experience for both my husband and myself – and I would recommend Ilene Fingeret and Fingeret Law unhesitatingly!
Ilene Fingeret and Fingeret Law helped me immeasurably in dealing with my mother’s estate. I was faced with suddenly having to put my mother into a memory care unit and subsequently ended up questioning what do I do with her house and belongings, continued care as she ages, managing her finances, etc? I also lived all the way across the country. I had no idea, no known resources, and Ilene helped guide me from recommending a super estate sale company, someone to sell my mom’s car if needed, and basically all the financial aspects I needed to be aware of regarding moving forward with caring for my mom. She was very thorough and patient in explaining all the details. Ilene was so helpful, extremely professional, and ready to answer my questions whenever I needed her, even during late night hours. I am forever grateful for her help and would recommend Fingeret Law to anyone needing elder care law assistance.
After trying to navigate the waters of the Veterans Administration and Medicaid in Pennsylvania we realized we were going to need assistance from experts in each of those areas. Jay and Ilene Fingeret were referred to us along with two other Law Firms. Jay took my call immediately and spent 15 to 20 minutes on the phone to understand our situation and I knew then they were Law Firm we were going to use. Jay said they could help up through the process, so we made an appointment and met with both Jay and Ilene. We laid out a plan and starting gathering data, answering questions and going through the process. Dealing with the Veterans Administration and Medicaid is always tedious and challenging but Jay and Ilene kept us on track. In the end, we were able to get VA Benefits for our father and Medicaid benefits for our mother. The investment we made with Jay and Ilene has been paid back many times over. We will use them again if we ever have another need.
